Starting Dungeoneering & Other Helpful tips

    by bombtank » Sat Nov 19, 2016 3:51 am

Hi guys, thought I would help out the community and give a general explanation of dungeoneering and how to get started. This is based on the experience that I have within the game thus far. Feel free to add anything that you find relevant in a comment.

    Getting There
There is a red portal behind Ozan at home which will teleport you to daemonheim. Once at daemonheim talk to the dungeoneering tutor to receive your ring of kinship. Upon receipt of the ring of kinship you will be ready to start dungeoneering!

    Getting into a Dungeon
Left click on your ring of kinship and click form party on the dungeoneering interface. You will then select your floor as 1 and continue to enter the dungeon.

    Floor complexity
Once you have completed your first dungeoneering floor you will want to leave the dungeon and reset your floor and complexity to floor 2 and complexity 2, this is very important because you will receive more experience per floor the higher your complexity is. You will want to repeat this until you are able to access complexity 6. Once you have gotten to complexity 6 you can just continually finish dungeons.

    RUSHING FLOORS
This is very important, you will gain more experience per hour in dungeoneering if you rush floors, this means only killing the monsters that you need to and killing the boss as soon as you find him. The only time that you will need to clear a room is if it has a guardian door. If you click on the door and it will not open you will need to kill the remainder of the monsters in the room before moving forward.

    Binding Your Weapon
The stronger the weapon you use, the faster your dungeons will be, the more dungeoneering exp/hr you will gain. The smuggler, who is at the beginning of the dungeon is able to sell you ores which you can use to smith high level weapons which you can use in the dungeon. Determine what type of weapon you can use and gather some coins from killing various monsters in the dungeon, purchase the ores from the smuggler and smith your weapon in the home room. I would suggest using a 2h sword, especially if you are using legacy mode. Note: you will need to have the required smithing level in order to make high level weapons.

    Small vs. Mediums
Once you are able to access floor 30 you will want to complete dungeons on medium size, although it will take you longer to complete a dungeon you will gain FAR MORE EXPERIENCE, making it extremely worthwhile!

If anyone has any questions regarding dungeoneering feel free to pm me in game! :D
